Let’s pass our hiker’s certificate!

Hike in the Coëvrons from Hambers, for a circuit of 4 hours and 15 minutes, or 15 km. Follow the yellow markings and signage No. 24 affixed by the Community of Communes of Coëvrons. Take the topo-guide “la Mayenne des chemins hollows”, circuit n° 30, to complete your information and better know the sites you will cross.

Among these, there is the Montaigu site classified as of national interest, surmounted by its 15th century chapel, on one of the roads to Mont-Saint-Michel. The mound which offers a circular view over the plain of Evron and the Aron valley is made of granodiorite, a rock similar to granite from the magma under the earth’s crust and which easily deteriorates into an arena. The heathland with broom and ferns sometimes develops there without control and it must be domesticated by diversifying heather, heather and gorse, giving habitats for exceptional fauna. Eco-grazing with hardy species helps maintain a wild state. Do not hesitate to go picnicking in the shelter of the Grands Bois under the top of the hill, whatever the weather!

This 73% dirt road circuit is a jewel that can only delight you as you will find a diversity nestled within the reliefs. Bordering pretty houses with sculptures, hamlets clad in beautiful rust-coloured granite quarried on site, dwellings some of which are from the 12th century, religious monuments completing the visit to the beautiful church of Hambers with its exceptional altarpiece. And as for the fascinating landscapes, they will take your breath away and make you want to hike again and again.

On the Committee and France bleu website, you can still register on Hello Asso for the May 1 patent, all around Pontmain at preferential rates and a competition with Crédit Mutuel until April 14. You will have the choice between 5, 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 kms.
