Of this grouping remains today only Boris Paraire installed in La Preste. The fair continues nevertheless. Other breeders and craftsmen are always there.
This year, therefore, is the 37th since the last two years it could not take place due to health measures. This year, the goat fair will see the participation of around forty exhibitors, producers and craftsmen, as well as a few associations from Arles sur Tech. Rurality is therefore in the spotlight.
In terms of entertainment, the Vallespir Agricultural Union has offered to organize games for children and adults: sack race, throwing straw balls, tug of war, milking competition, pinyatas… The “Boutifanfare” will animate the aperitif and meal time. Sardane (by the group “amitats sardanistes d’Arles sur Tech, Les petits danseurs de l’Allégria” Catalan folk group from Arles, a quieter corner for children’s readings by the association “Lire et faire lire”, make-up, games, demonstration of the lace-makers of Arles, demonstration of ironwork, horse-drawn carriage rides….
The breeders’ meal will be prepared as every year by the caterer “Al Casot de la Farga”. In short, enough to spend a good day in a very festive and friendly atmosphere.
