(New York) The new Broadway musical about Michael Jackson will tour North America next year.

The show GMwhich includes dozens of songs from the King of Pop and others, is planning stops in 17 major cities over two years starting in 2023. The tour will kick off in Chicago at the James M. Nederlander Theater on July 15, 2023.
Co-producer Lia Vollack said she was delighted with Broadway’s response to GM and notes that Chicago is an excellent theatrical and musical destination.
The tour will also include a previously revealed two-week engagement at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in Charlotte, North Carolina from September 26 to October 8, 2023.
Other tour dates and the full cast will be announced at a later date.
The musical includes most of Jackson’s greatest hits and the Jackson 5, including ABC, Black or White, Blame it on the Boogie, Bad, Billie John, off the wall, Thriller and I’ll Be There.
Broadway critics have been divided over the musical, with many criticizing it for avoiding mention of sexual assault allegations against Michael Jackson. But virtually everyone agreed that the songs and dancing were top notch, as did lead actor Myles Frost.
