Taken control… of Le Bon coin. Two young people from Strasbourg aged 17 and 19 were arrested by the police on Friday March 14 because they were trying to sell a stolen bike online. The police trapped them before handcuffing them.
Sentenced for “concealment of theft”
It was the owner of the bike who spotted the ad on Le Bon Coin. He recognized his own bikebefore notifying the police.
To intercept the two young sellers, the agents of the BAC therefore pretend to be buyersmade an appointment with them to buy the bike, before handcuffing them.
They were heard by the police on Friday March 14, for “receiving theft”. In the most serious cases, concealment of theft is punishable by 5 years in prison and a fine of €375,000.
