Death of Jean-Pierre Pernaut: A moving photo unveiled by his daughter Lou after the funeral

Wednesday March 9, 2022 was a difficult day for the relatives of Jean-Pierre Pernaut, who died on March 2 at the age of 71. That day took place his funeral at the Basilica of Sainte-Clotilde in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. No less than 700 people made the trip to pay tribute to the former presenter of TF1’s 13H news, including his wife Nathalie Marquay, their children Lou (19) and Tom (18), as well as Olivier and Julia (born in 1981 and 1978 from her former marriage to Dominique Bonnet, also present). The day after this sad but beautiful ceremony, the youngest of her daughters broke the silence on Instagram to pay her a new tribute.

The day after this sad day, Lou Pernaut indeed posted a photo on which we can see a black and white portrait of Jean-Pierre Pernaut. The same it seems that was placed at the entrance of the Basilica. On the picture in question, the late presenter shows his legendary smile which has been so much touted in recent days and looks to the top. Next to it, a smaller frame shows him looking just as happy and looking up at the sky once more.

Around the portraits, placed on the ground near a low table, are placed here and there bouquets of flowers. “My star’s shining“, (to be translated into French not “my star is shining“) can we read in the caption of his story, which has the tube as its background Married by Johnny Hallyday. Title that we could hear during the release of the coffin yesterday. A post that is as beautiful as it is moving. There is no doubt that Arthur’s companion has once again been able to count on the support of her subscribers who have been by her side since the terrible announcement of the death of Jean-Pierre Pernaut.

Lou Pernaut supported by his community

Lou did not hesitate to thank his community for its unwavering support. On March 2, she wrote on TikTok: “Thank you all for your love. We’re staying with family for now. Enjoy your loved ones and tell them you love them.” A message with the soundtrack of the tube I promise you by Johnny Hallyday.

On March 4, she again addressed her subscribers, but in an Instagram story this time. “Thank you also for these many beautiful videos that I receive every day retracing the life of my dad. More than a journalist, an incredible father who has always been there for us, who has given everything so that we are happy and that we lack nothing. Also, an incredible husband, very caring, modest, sensitive and generous. We accompanied him until the last moments and it is always difficult to realize… Your love and your prayers warm our hearts. He deserves it. rest in peace daddy i love you“, she wrote. And on March 7, two days before the funeral, she shared a video retracing happy family moments.

Remember that two years after beating prostate cancer, Jean-Pierre Pernaut learned that he had cancer of the right lung. Last September, he was therefore operated in the greatest secrecy, a success. But the disease spread to the left lung, so he had radiotherapy sessions until the end of the year. His health unfortunately deteriorated thereafter since after having suffered 4 mini-strokes in January, he underwent open-heart surgery last month. He lost his life after being plunged into a deep coma, following complications.
