“According to our information, one out of two inhabitants of Kyiv has left the city. Today, just under two million people live there,” he told Ukrainian television.
“However, Kyiv has turned into a fortress,” insisted Mr. Klitschko, on the fifteenth day of the Russian invasion: “Every street, every building, every checkpoint has been fortified.”
The agglomeration of Kyiv had 3.5 million inhabitants before the start of the conflict with Russia.
