All his life, he will have honored the know-how of our regions and the work of our craftsmen. Jean-Pierre Pernaut died on Wednesday March 2 at the age of 71. The journalist had presented for more than 30 years the 13 Hours of TF1. On 12/13 went to his home town.
Quevauvillers (Somme), the village of Jean-Pierre Pernaut’s heart, woke up very sad following the announcement of his death, Wednesday March 2. The journalist grew up in this town of 1,100 inhabitants, near Amiens. He has always put forward his Picardy roots, sometimes sending small nods to his region in his diary. The inhabitants of Quevauvillers had a weakness for this presenter defender of rurality.
Jean-Pierre Pernaut cut his teeth in his native region. He worked at Courrier Picard before joining the ORTF. For his farewell to the 13 Hours newspaper in December 2020, his friends from Quevauvillers had gathered for a duplex in the village hall. In the town, a housing estate could one day bear his name: that of a proud Picard.
