In the park of the Vanoise in Savoie, two wolves and bearded vultures were poisoned by a powerful insecticide. They are, however, protected species. Report.
The park of the Vanoise (Savoy) is a wildlife sanctuary and a whole space where the preservation of nature is maximum. And yet two wolves, a protected species, were found dead, poisoned. It was last spring. The autopsy revealed the presence of a powerful insecticide in their corpse.
A month later, two bearded vultures are in turn found dead, victims of the same poison. These raptors, protected them toonested in a cliff in Haute Mauritian. Who was able to disperse the poison in the mountain and why? An investigation was opened and a complaint was filed. The Bearded Vulture is a large raptor, three meters wide, a scavenger that feeds only on animal carcasses, so its presence is rather well accepted. The two raptors would be collateral victims of the wolf.
