Transferred to force him to resign
Irreducible narrates the misadventures of Vincent Peltier, a peaceful civil servant forced to resign by a formidable Ministry inspector who wants to cut back. Vincent will do everything to keep his life and his benefits. Between the two, war is declared !
Vincent lives his peaceful life as a civil servant in Limoges. But he could very well have been Perigueux? “It’s a little nod to my beginnings, explains Jérôme Commandeur. I was 20 years old and I was making pranks on a radio in Limoges”. But it’s true that he could have been Périgourdin his Vincent: “in Limoges there is a bit like at home besides the city side in the countryside”.
A film totally 2022 and which evokes the love of France
A bit caricatural on officials, but not that much, the film deals with a lot of social phenomena. It’s totally 2022. Me too, global warming are particularly addressed. With a smile.
French love Also : “I started from an observation. When you are five or six thousand kilometers from home and you hear French people on a beach, you go there very shy and say ‘hello, are you French?’ “It’s great. Me too, I’m French. And then you saw the wine and the cheese. And the Bordeaux, we miss it or whatever. Foie gras to talk about things from back home and people say yes, it’s true’. _Why we are able to do this 5000 kilometers from home and we are totally incapable of it here in France_, where we shout at each other all day. (…) France is for me an open country, a country with values, a welcoming country and these are the values that I wanted to convey in the film”
An incredible cast
In the movie : Christian Clavier, Gérard Darmon, Valérie Lemercier, Pascale Arbillot and, therefore, Jérôme Commandeur! A film that takes us in turn to Greenland, Sweden, Ecuador and of course France.
“What I can tell you is that we really shot in Limoges”jokes Jérôme Commandeur when asked if all the shots have been taken where the story is supposed to take place.
A preview well in advance
The output of Irreduciblescheduled for March, was postponed until June 29, 2022. It is therefore a preview, very early, which is offered to Périgourdin spectators.
