After going to Paris, the supporters of the “freedom convoy” head for the Belgian capital. Local authorities, who have banned all demonstrations, have warned that there will be no tolerance.
They had announced it, Paris was only one stage of their journey. The participants of the “freedom convoy” now rally the Belgian capital, Brussels. On the road, some stop over, especially near Lille where several hundred people were there. “There are other convoys that have gathered elsewhere, so as not to repeat the same mistakes that we made to go up to Paris, where they managed to block us”explains a participant.
The European capital, where a new rally is scheduled for Monday, February 14, has banned demonstrations as in Paris. So on Twitter the federal police warn the demonstrators in four different languages. “We advise you not to go to Brussels this Monday by car”, can we read. Hospitals and the airport will be difficult to access. The Belgians will have to adapt. “It’s constantly problems, the taxis are already no longer running”annoyed a taxi driver. “We are neither for nor against, we just want traffic to allow us to work”, says another driver. Processions from the Netherlands are also expected.
