The footballers of the Coulounieix-Chamiers club wanted to pay tribute to the 22-year-old young man, found dead this Friday in Chancelade. Loïc played football for ten years, notably with the Marsac-Chancelade agreement. He also took a license at Coulounieix-Chamiers in 2019. Facing the grandstand, just before the kick-off of the match against Brantôme this Saturday evening, all the players applauded, in heart, for a minute. “It was important to mark the occasion, says Benjamin Orteil, club player and educator. Loïc was a good childhood friend, we played football together for many years, paying tribute to him in a club where he played is important to me. It’s very symbolic for all of us and hopefully for the family.”

The players discussed it as soon as they learned of the young man’s death. “It was a shock for everyone,” continues Benjamin, his green and white T-shirt on his back. With the help of club friends, he got thirty flocked green and white T-shirts in Loïc’s name in a single morning. And the tribute will not stop there, this Sunday the women’s and men’s teams will also wear the jersey in the name of the former club player.
