Stade Toulousain is at a standstill after its fifth consecutive defeat in the league suffered at the last second against Stade Français (28-29), Friday during the late match of the 13th day of Top 14 initially scheduled for the end of December.
It’s over.
Joris Segonds passes his penalty and gives victory to Paris. What a cruel scenario for our Stadistes at the Stadium, who lost by one point.#STSFP pic.twitter.com/lky8NWWpVd

In a well-stocked Stadium, the reigning French champion lost for the second consecutive time at home after the loss against Racing 92 (15-20) a fortnight ago.
While they had the opportunity to move up to fourth place while sticking to the top three, Ugo Mola’s men blew a joker. With only three points taken from the last 25, their accounting situation becomes worrying with a view to direct qualification for the semi-finals, their initial objective at the start of the season.
The Stade Français, which remained for its part on seven defeats during its last eight trips, has completely relaunched itself in the race for the Top 6 by winning for the first time away since October 16 in Perpignan (23 -22). The Parisians go back to 8th place, three points behind Racing 92, sixth, which has one game less.
Deprived of ten internationals, Stade Toulousain nevertheless dominated the first act thanks in particular to the first try, since last September, of its international winger Matthis Lebel, released by the tricolor staff two days earlier. Masters of the ball and initiatives, the Toulousains then concretized their domination by registering a second try at the half hour mark through Rory Arnold.
Less sovereign since the return from the locker room, and while the two teams were at 14, the Toulouse saw the Stade Français first return thanks to Sekou Macalou, another international released in the middle of the week. The Parisians then picked up for good, in the 70th minute, thanks to their back Kylan Hamdaoui, before going ahead for the first time in the match, two minutes later, on a penalty from Joris Segonds.
The Toulouse forwards then took matters into their own hands to allow the young Cramont to put theirs back in front. But, in an unbreathable end to the match, Segonds finally delivered Stade Français after the siren.
