New: made-to-measure boots
Guillaum Chaigne’s Boots
1/3
The designer Guillaum Chaigne, who recently moved his studio to the mountains of Saint-Sauveur, is launching into footwear or, more precisely, into making a model of boots made by hand and to order. These are perfectly in the image of the clothes and accessories created by the designer of street wear high-end, with a bias towards oversized (oversized). Halfway between slippers and biker boots, the Chaigne Strapped V1 features a local alpaca wool insole, a centimeter thick polyester foam sole bed and a rubber outsole developed for superior comfort. They are lined with laminated black sherpa (faux sheepskin) and covered with decorative straps that also make the boots adjustable. Each pair is a unique piece, since it is handmade by the designer himself. But uniqueness comes at a price of $1270, which is considerably higher than Guillaum Chaigne’s other pieces, except perhaps his stunning coats reminiscent, like the rest, of Japanese and Korean casual fashions.
Collection: a taste of spring
If we trust the Montreal brand Noize, spring will be mild, with lots of pastels, both in the women’s collection and in the men’s. The cuts are simple and discreet, but often with small details that prevent the pieces from going unnoticed. The new collection is still very generous in loungewear (loungewear), in sportswear and other pieces of great comfort. The many spring coats remind us that freshness is never far away. But there’s also a great selection of swimsuits and ruffled dresses giving us hope we won’t spend the year wrapped up in our puffer jackets. The new products will be available on the site and in stores in five stages, starting February 15. Remember that the company uses a maximum of ecological, organic, recycled and always vegan materials. While waiting for spring, which arrives on Tuesday for Noize, we can take advantage of the sales on the winter collections.
Luxury: designer bags at reduced prices
The new Olurra online store describes itself as a outlet of luxury fashion accessories. There are well-known prestigious brands like Balenciaga, Fendi, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Valentino, among others. The prices are intended to be competitive, although it is still necessary to expect an invoice for a new high-end product. As an example, a medium-sized Celine bag, which would normally sell for around $3,500, costs $2,049 on Olurra, which is not an item store. vintage, but many new products from current or very recent collections, authentic and certified. The founder, Tina Barreto, is a Quebecer of Peruvian origin. She has held positions as vice president and president in the automotive sector, primarily. Today, Olurra allows her to share her passion for bags. Eventually, there will also be other accessories for men and women on the site, such as glasses and belts.
