In recent years and more particularly with the health crisis, health centers have multiplied everywhere in France, to the point of transforming city centers.
Lille, Paris, Marseille: throughout France, health centers are multiplying in city centers. In two years, the city of Orléans (Centre-Val de Loire) has thus seen the installation of six new healthcare centres, in response to a lack of healthcare professionals.
With their need to occupy substantial space, unlike other local shops, health centers manage to set up in strategic locations in the city center, explains an Orleans florist. The new influx of customers caused by the installation of these centers also makes it possible to bring new customers to local craftsmen. Nevertheless, some professionals warn that in four years, the average cost per patient in an ophthalmology center has, for example, increased by 80%.
