It is time to report to the State for the Orpea group. Its leaders were summoned on Tuesday 1er February, by the Minister Delegate for Autonomy, Brigitte Bourguignon, who launched two investigations and promised more checks in residences accused of abuse.
Under pressure from the government, the new CEO of Orpea arrives on Tuesday 1er February, summoned to the Ministry of Health, to give his explanations. After an hour’s meeting, Philippe Charrier, appointed head of the group just two days ago, promises transparency on the accusations of abuse and counterattack. “Several accusations are unfounded, I have proof of it”he said. “What we have read absolutely does not correspond to the reality of life in our establishments“, he continues.
However, Tuesday 1er February, in a page purchased from the newspaper Le Parisien, Philippe Charrier recognizes errors in a half-word letter. The pressure is mounting on Orpea, now targeted by two investigations ordered by the government. And new complaints will be filed, like that of a brother and a sister, who accuse Orpea to be responsible for the death of their mother. A collective action launched by families is being prepared against the group.
