The northeastern United States was hit by a snowstorm of rare intensity. A woman succumbed to the cold. The state of emergency is declared in particular in New York where the inhabitants are asked to stay at home.
In the United States, the snow is so abundant that it takes the help of trucks to evacuate it and clear the streets. At the heart of the storm, up to 66 centimeters of snow fell. On the E coaststa town in Massachusetts is trapped by the elements between snow and raging seas. The wind is so strong that the waves flood the streets. A whole part of the United States is still paralyzed. Trains and planes are at a standstill and thousands of homes remain without electricity.
But the storm also makes people happy. In New York, a park has been transformed into a winter sports complex. The inhabitants have taken out sleds, snowshoes and cross-country skis, which have become a much more efficient means than the car to get around the snowy streets. For some, this blizzard will even be the best day of their life when they say yes under the snow.
