Asked about the abolition of the wealth tax (ISF) at the start of Emmanuel Macron’s five-year term, the EELV presidential candidate, Yannick Jadot, assured him on France Inter on Tuesday January 25: “We restore it and we strengthen it”, if elected.
“It was a major political fault and we see moreover in the balance sheet of this five-year term [que] the richest got richer, the poorest got poorer.”

“We will give an ISF which will be on the richest 1%, therefore from a heritage of 2 million euros and this ISF will be progressive, explains Yannick Jadot. It will have a return of 20 billion euros, it is extremely interesting. And beyond the necessary solidarity of the richest, there is the idea of a bonus-malus on the more or less green character of people”.
