Elvire du Couëdic: Among the job seekers, there are those at the top of the basket, that is to say executives, but they now represent 18% of employees in France who are in full employment. Then, the more we go down to short and professional courses, the more we see an increase in the unemployment rate, which tends to increase, especially among young people with – from memory – 19.5% unemployment rate.

Is it a lack of training or visibility?

Young people are not trained for the jobs of tomorrow but above all they lack visibility on the opportunities they could find within companies. A college student who must begin to think about his orientation to choose between a general, technological or professional sector, does not at any time come into contact with the company which would be able to offer him visibility on his future and the various trades that might interest him.
