A member of the Blood Family Mafia, Francis Vallée, was sentenced to three years in prison for various offenses, including a failed scheme involving underage accomplices attempting to collect a $1500 debt through a break-in. Vallée provided drugs to the minors and equipped them for an assault on the debtor, but the plan fell apart before execution. He also faced charges for a violent incident with his partner and had a history of violent crime and drug trafficking.
Severe Sentencing for Blood Family Mafia Member
A member linked to the Blood Family Mafia received a three-year prison sentence on Friday for multiple offenses, including a failed scheme involving underage individuals attempting to collect a debt of $1500 through a break-in.
In July 2024, Francis Vallée was approached by a young woman seeking cocaine. He invited her and two underage males to his residence, where he not only supplied them with drugs but also encouraged them to sell them on his behalf.
During the encounter, Vallée handed over seven grams of cocaine to the woman, demanding $400 upfront while indicating that the remainder would be his profit. To assist her in clearing her debt, he proposed that she and the two minors visit a man in Lévis who owed him $1500 to settle the matter.
Details of the Foiled Plot
The accused, known as “Chain,” equipped the trio with gloves, clothing, masks, shoes, and weapons, which included a crowbar, a hammer, and a baseball bat.
He then transported them to the intended victim’s house, outlining the plan for the operation. While the woman was tasked with creating a distraction at the door, one of the young men was supposed to sneak in through a window and attack the alleged debtor from behind, aiming for his knees and arms.
Vallée explicitly instructed them not to commit murder and to avoid mentioning his involvement if they were caught. However, the plot was never executed as the minor could not gain entry through the window, and neighbors noticed the woman’s suspicious behavior at the front door.
Francis Vallée ultimately pleaded guilty to several charges, including attempted breaking and entering, conspiracy to commit armed assault, and cocaine trafficking.
Additionally, Vallée admitted his involvement in a violent incident with his partner in June 2024, where he vandalized her car window, and he faced charges for breaching probation conditions.
The 40-year-old was sentenced to a total of three years in prison, a decision reached through a collaborative agreement between prosecutor Me Marilie Dubé and defense attorney Me François Cauchon.
Vallée gained notoriety last October after escaping from a therapy facility mandated by a release order. Upon his return to prison, he was identified as a member of the Blood Family Mafia and reportedly faced a violent beating from fellow gang members.
His criminal history includes previous charges of violence and possession with intent to traffic.
