Gabriel’s Breach of Trust
At the Mistral, Thomas (Laurent Kérusoré) shares exciting news with Gabriel—he has signed up to take the baccalaureate as an independent candidate. Gabriel is initially taken aback by this revelation but quickly expresses his pride and joy for his husband. However, Thomas asks Gabriel to keep this a secret, and he promises to be discreet.
Later, at the medical office, Gabriel can’t contain his excitement and spills the beans to his colleague, Léa. He expresses concern about Thomas potentially failing the exam. Unbeknownst to them, Yolande, who is in the waiting room, overhears their entire conversation.
During lunch, Babeth’s mother orders a meal from the Mistral and congratulates Thomas on his decision. Confused, Thomas asks her how she found out, leading her to reveal: ‘I overheard your husband discussing it with Léa.’ Feeling betrayed, Thomas is disappointed in Gabriel’s inability to keep his promise.
Luna Faces New Challenges
At the Marseille penitentiary, Luna has just emerged from a five-day stint in isolation. Her lawyer, Me Alice Bataile (Victoria Grosbois), is shocked to learn about Luna’s sanctions due to the discovery of her phone.
Luna reveals to her lawyer that she is facing another serious issue with the prison management, stating: ‘They believe I tried to manipulate them with this book situation.’ Frustrated by the isolation, Luna finds herself in a precarious position, while her lawyer fumes over being left in the dark about these developments.
Once they are alone, Me Bataille confronts a guard, threatening to report him to the management. He retorts: ‘I’ll just say Luna’s friends attempted to deliver a package.’ The lawyer then goes to the Pavilion of Flowers to admonish Barbara (Léa François) and Jennifer (Diane Dassigny) for their mistake regarding the package. They soon realize that Luna has enemies within the prison walls, prompting Me Bataille to warn: ‘Her life in there is about to get very complicated.’
Back in her cell, Luna discovers her cellmate, Chloé, is unusually withdrawn. When Luna inquires about her mood, Chloé reveals: ‘Someone snitched on you about that package thrown in the yard.’ She further explains: ‘That inmate has been instructed to make your life miserable.’ Luna begins to grasp the gravity of her situation—she has a foe, but who could it be?
Anthony’s Desperate Move
Upon entering the law office, Apolline (Zoé Laïb) notices that the door is ajar. Cautiously, she calls out for Ulysse (Jeremy Charvet) and Vanessa (Agathe de la Boulaye) but receives no reply.
Suddenly, a hooded figure appears—it’s Anthony Charon (Michaël Bourne). He threatens Apolline with a knife, demanding her help to open the Kepler family’s safe.
Hours later, Vanessa and Ulysse arrive at the office to find Apolline shaken from her ordeal. She recounts how Anthony forced her to open the safe. Ulysse suggests calling the police, but Vanessa disagrees, knowing that Anthony has taken something of great value.
Jean-Paul (Stéphane Henon) visits to take the Keplers’ statement, surprised to learn that the intruder—whom he suspects to be Charon—didn’t actually steal anything.
Afterward, Vanessa takes Apolline back to the Massalia residence, concerned for her well-being: ‘Are you alright? You seem distressed about the safe.’ Vanessa assures her that nothing significant was stored inside, but is that truly the case?
Back at the office, Ulysse confronts his mother, frustrated that they had to deceive the police. He pushes her to reveal what was so crucial in the safe, to which she responds: ‘It was serious; there was a very important document that could ruin our family.’
