The sites where the October 7 massacres took place in Israel have become places of pilgrimage, a year later.
Faced with a house set on fire by Hamas terrorists, French people reflect, moved, in front of the ruins of this kibbutz, one of the most bereaved after the attacks of October 7, 2023. In one of the houses, the whole family has been killed: the parents and the three children. This kibbutz, where everything seems frozen, is now a place of memory. For visitors, looking at this reality is a necessity, even if it is painful. The French-speaking spokesperson for the Israeli army is present and visitors are welcomed with attention. The country’s authorities need the diaspora to rebuild these kibbutzim.
Another place of memory: the site of the Nova music festival where 370 young people were killed and 40 others kidnapped by Hamas. Israelis sometimes come there with their children. A school educator is there, he believes that this visit must now be on the education program of the Hebrew State.
