NDP accuses Conservatives of being “agents of chaos”

(Ottawa) NDP Parliamentary Leader Peter Julian says his party wants to do more in Parliament before the next election. If the current dysfunction persists, it could influence the way the NDP votes, he adds.

In just three weeks, the Conservatives have put forward two motions of censure to try to bring down the government. The party promises to do more.

The New Democrats said they would decide how to vote on these motions on a case-by-case basis.

Mr. Julian accuses the Conservatives of being “agents of chaos” in the House of Commons.

The government’s legislative agenda has stalled as a debate on questions of privilege has replaced most other business since September 26.

Conservative parliamentary leader Andrew Scheer says the situation is self-inflicted by the Liberals and will continue until the government makes documents related to the misuse of public funds available.
