A new step has been taken in the case of the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar. The Toulouse Court of Appeal ordered, on Thursday, September 26, the referral to the assizes of husband Cédric for voluntary homicide of a spouse, France Télévisions learned from a judicial source. Information also confirmed by Cédric Jubillar’s lawyers to AFP. “The Court of Appeal has just rendered its decision, Cédric Jubillar is sent back to the Assize Court to answer for the crime of voluntary homicide of his wife”said Alexandre Martin, one of his lawyers. Cédric Jubillar is accused of having killed his wife Delphine in December 2020 and having made her body disappear.
This referral to the assizes of the 37-year-old Tarnais had been requested in June by the public prosecutor’s office, after an investigation of rare length, further stretched by additional information ordered in February, following new elements. During a closed hearing at the end of June, the investigating chamber of the Toulouse Court of Appeal examined the results, without making any changes to the accusations. Incarcerated for more than three years and his indictment on June 18, 2021, Cédric Jubillar has seen all his requests for release rejected, including the last one in July.
