The justice system suspects the far-right party of having used fictitious jobs in the European Parliament between 2004 and 2016.

Parliamentary assistants of FN MEPs are said to have actually worked for the party. The damage to public finances is said to be close to 7 million euros. “Complément d’enquête” has delved into this sprawling case.

The magazine’s teams obtained emails and internal party documents. The Le Pen family’s bodyguard was paid as a parliamentary assistant for years. Contracts that lasted from a few days to a few weeks. At the same time, he was present in the FN’s organizational chart, under the direction of Florian Philippot, the number 2 at the time.

“Complément d’enquête” has found a key witness in this case. He speaks for the first time in front of a camera. According to him, Marine Le Pen played a major role in setting up an alleged system of embezzlement of public funds.

The aim was apparently to replenish the coffers of the National Front at the time. In this case, the former head of the RN risks up to five years of ineligibility.

The magazine discovered how fake proofs of work were created has posteriori and provided to the courts. The aim: to prove that some of the accused had indeed worked for the European Parliament.
