Kamala Harris focuses campaign on ‘blue wall’ states

Vice President Kamala Harris has scheduled events in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, focusing her campaign spending on “blue wall” states ahead of the Nov. 5 election.

Tuesday, Mme Harris will interview the National Association of Black Journalists in Philadelphia. Two days later, she will join Oprah Winfrey in Michigan for her live “Unite for America” event with 140 different local organizations. Harris’ visit to Wisconsin on Friday will be her fourth since she launched her White House campaign in July.

M’s campaignme Harris has a large operation in those states, deploying hundreds of staffers and on-the-ground outreach efforts. Wisconsin supporters have knocked on more than 500,000 doors, and since last week’s debate with Donald Trump, the campaign has recruited more than 3,000 new volunteers.

Overall, the M teamme Harris is on track to outspend the Republican campaign on TV ads twice as much over the next two months. Even before Democratic President Joe Biden ends his re-election campaign and gives way to Ms.me Harris, Democrats had superior campaign infrastructure in key states.

Kamala Harris’s team, which includes her campaign and a super-allied political action committee, has more than $280 million in television and radio bookings for the period between Tuesday and Election Day, according to media tracking firm AdImpact. Former President Trump’s team has $133 million booked for the final stretch, though that number is likely to rise.
