The RN rejects any increase in taxes. Invited to “Les 4 Vérités” on France 2, the far-right MP Jean-Philippe Tanguy set out his party’s red line and stated that the National Rally group would vote for a motion of censure against Michel Barnier’s government in the event of a tax increase.
The PS rules out participation in the government. “I do not see how socialists who are preparing to censure a government thus formed can access this same government”declared former President François Hollande, now a socialist MP for Corrèze, in an interview with France Bleu Limousin.
Edouard Philippe receives Emmanuel Macron. The head of state is going to Le Havre, the city where his former prime minister is mayor, to commemorate its liberation from Nazi rule in September 1944.
