Alexandre Leauté aims for a fourth medal in cycling, the Blues in the blind football final… Follow the penultimate day of the Games

A great Saturday, September 7th in perspective. On the eve of the end of the Paris Paralympic Games, France can (still) hope for many medals. Before the grand final of the France-Argentina blind football, at 8 p.m., cyclist Alexandre Leauté is aiming for a fourth medal during the C1-3 road race, starting at 9:30 a.m., an event in which his compatriot Thomas Peyroton-Dartet is also taking part. The day will also be marked by the final of the French flag bearer, Nantenin Keïta, on the track in the 400 m T13 at 10:21 a.m. In judo, Hélios Latchoumanaya hopes to win gold in the -90 kg J2 (visually impaired). Follow the day live.

The rest of the program. To follow from Saturday morning: the semi-finals of Rémy Boullé (10:07) and Eléa Charvet (10:49) in canoeing, that of Lucas Didier in class 9 table tennis (11:00), as well as the entry into the competition of the French team épée team, for men and women, in wheelchair fencing from 11:30 a.m. Ugo Didier, aligned with the 4×100 meters freestyle relay from 8:34 p.m., hopes for a fourth medal in these Games for the last day of swimming. Another crazy Friday for cycling. Heïdi Gaugain, second in the road race (C4-5), and Kévin Le Cunff, beaten in the sprint (C4-5), brought two silver medals to France, while Alexandre Lloveras and his pilot Yoann Paillot won the bronze medal in the road race, category B.

The big night for the Blues in blind football. At the foot of the Eiffel Tower, the French team led by maestro Frédéric Villeroux will face Argentina in the final at 8 p.m. The French, silver medallists in London in 2012, will not be favorites in this final against the ones who defeated the Brazilian ogre in the semi-finals and are the reigning Paralympic vice-champions.
