(Calgary) Canadian motorists are enjoying cheaper gas prices as fall approaches.
The average price of gasoline in Canada was 152.1 cents per litre on Friday morning, according to price tracking website GasBuddy.com.
That’s more than 10 cents less than the average price in August and more than 14 cents less than a year ago.
Gasoline prices are rising and falling in lockstep with the global price of crude oil. The price of a barrel has fallen by more than US$7 this week.
This is the biggest weekly drop in crude oil prices since October last year.
Energy analyst Rory Johnston says markets are nervous about the outlook for the global economy and falling demand for oil.
