“Hi, it’s Leo, what does it say?”

This Monday, September 2, it’s back to school for 12 million primary, secondary and high school students. Several new features are being implemented such as the“needs groups” in French and mathematics, for pupils in 6th and 5th grade. In the absence of a fully-fledged government, which resigned since the legislative elections last July, other reforms are pending, such as that of the secondary school certificate.

Negotiations are continuing this Monday to find a new Prime Minister. Emmanuel Macron is receiving former socialist Bernard Cazeneuve at the Elysée, then LR Xavier Bertrand in addition to former presidents François Hollande and Nicolas Sarkozy.

And also this Monday, Valentina Petrillo will become the first transgender athlete to compete in the Paralympic Games. The 50-year-old Italian sprinter, who suffers from a genetic disease that is causing her to progressively lose her sight, will line up at the start of the 200m and 400m heats.
