(Ottawa) The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced Tuesday afternoon that it has resolved a “partial outage” of its computer systems that affected customs processing at Canadian airports earlier in the day.
The CBSA said in a post on social media site X in the middle of the afternoon that service had been restored, but did not specify the cause of the “partial outage” of its systems.
She apologized for the “inconvenience” and thanked travelers for their cooperation.
Toronto Pearson Airport said Tuesday that the outage impacted CBSA automated screening kiosks in two terminals, leading to longer wait times.
A spokesperson for Montreal-Trudeau airport said customs processing was slower than usual, but the airport had not suffered a major impact.
The Communications Security Establishment said it was in contact with the CBSA and was prepared to assist if a request was made.
