Cogeco announced that it has signed partnership agreements with a national wireless network operator and Eastlink as part of its plan to develop its wireless service in Canada.
The company called the deals a critical step in its plan to bring wireless services to more than 4.2 million Canadians living in its wired footprint in Ontario and Quebec.
Cogeco announced that it has signed a five-year agreement with a national wireless network operator giving it access to its network.
The company also announced that it has signed a five-year agreement with Eastlink for its wireless technology platforms.
Cogeco says it will now be able to offer a full range of telecommunications services to its customers in markets where it already operates a wireline network.
She said she would provide further details and timetables for implementing the services at a later date.
