A man in his thirties died on Monday August 12 in Fontenay-le-Comte (Vendée), after being fatally injured by a knife, franceinfo learned on Tuesday from a source close to the investigation and from France Bleu Loire Océan.
On Monday evening around 9:30 p.m., a fight broke out on the public highway in Fontenay-le-Comte. The exact circumstances have not yet been determined, but according to the first elements of the investigation, several people are involved.
Among them, a man took out a corkscrew and acted threateningly. Another took out a knife and fatally wounded him. Despite the intervention of emergency services, the victim died on the spot. The suspect, aged around forty, was arrested and taken into custody. Both are known to the courts. An investigation has been opened.
