The searches to try to find Lina, 15, who disappeared in September 2023 in Alsace, have ended and will not resume on Friday, franceinfo learned on Thursday, August 8 from the gendarmerie. In total, for these three days of searches in Haute-Saône, the soldiers inspected 40 hectares.
The search for the teenager resumed on the morning of Thursday, August 8, in the town of Saulx, in Haute-Saône. Army engineers and nearly 90 gendarmes were mobilized with canine brigades, investigators from the National Gendarmerie Criminal Research Institute (IRCGN) equipped with geo-radars to probe the ground, investigators from the Strasbourg research section, as well as local gendarmes.
Thursday was the seventh day of searches, after the previous day in Haute-Saône and those of the previous week in Vosges. As a reminder, the main suspect, a 43-year-old man who had spent several stays in psychiatric hospitals, committed suicide. He hanged himself on July 10 in Besançon in Doubs.
