Ligue 1 officially has two new broadcasters. The LFP Board of Directors, meeting on Wednesday, July 31, unanimously approved the choice of the British platform DAZN and the Qatari channel beIn Sports, the sports management of Radio France learned from sources close to the matter.
DAZN will therefore broadcast 8 of the 9 Ligue 1 matches for around 400 million euros, as decided during a first vote by the LFP in mid-July. A two-year exit clause was also validated, it will be activated if DAZN falls below the one and a half million subscriber mark.
For its part, beIn Sport has committed to paying 80 million euros for a match per day, plus 20 million recovered through sponsorship that was not sold by the league. BeIn also has a variable exit clause, which can range from two to five years.
