(Montreal) Information technology consulting firm CGI reported third-quarter net profit of $440.1 million on Wednesday.
The Montreal company said the result is up from $414.9 million in the same period last year.
Profit for the third quarter, which ended June 30, was $1.94 per share, compared with $1.78 at the same time last year.
The company’s revenue was $3.67 billion in the third quarter, up from $3.62 billion in the same period last year. CGI also announced a quarterly dividend of 15 cents per share.
On Tuesday, CGI’s U.S. subsidiary announced it would acquire technology company Aeyon, which has done artificial intelligence, data management and analytics work for the U.S. government.
CGI Federal did not disclose terms or value of the transaction, but said it is expected to close in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2024.
