The Raptors don’t slow down

Fred VanVleet shone on Sunday in Toronto, definitely giving his team the lead with just over 90 seconds to go, and the Raptors won a very close game against the New Orleans Pelicans by the score of 105-101.

The point guard finished the game with 32 points. He has totaled at least 30 points in six of his last eight games, helping the Raptors to a sixth straight victory and a 20th in 37 games this season.

Montrealer Khem Birch also had his say in this victory as he gave the local favorites a fourth point lead with a free throw with five seconds left to the game. Used for 28:04, Chris Boucher has meanwhile amassed eight points.

With 29 points and 10 rebounds, Pascal Siakam managed a double double in the victory, just like Jonas Valanciunas (20 points, 17 rebounds) in the other clan.

The only Canadian team in the NBA, seventh in the Eastern Conference, will resume action on Tuesday when they host the Phoenix Suns. They are currently first in the West with a 30-9 record.
