(Paris) The novelist Neige Sinno won an award on Monday for the audio version of her book sad tigerwhere she herself reads this work, winner of the Prix Femina and the Prix Goncourt des lycéens 2023.
This audio book, published by Gallimard, won the Gingko audio book prize, the literary festival Le Livre sur la place in Nancy announced on X.
“The award ceremony will take place on Saturday, September 14,” during the 46e edition of this festival, the organizers said.
Neige Sinno, 47, was a little-known author until the publication of this book, which is somewhere between an autobiographical story and a literary essay.
She recounts her journey since the incest she suffered as a child, a story interspersed with reflections on sexual violence and the power of literature.
Neige Sinno is one of the few authors who have lent their voice to their own work, along with novelists like Marc Levy, Gaël Faye, Sylvain Tesson, Maylis de Kerangal, Pierre Lemaitre, Agnès Ledig and Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt.
