Less than a week before the first round of the early legislative elections, Emmanuel Macron declared, Monday June 24, that the result of the legislative elections, on the evening of July 7, would not be “no one’s fault” but the expression of “responsibility of the French”in a “Do It Yourself Generation” podcast. “And for me, it’s not a bet [que je fais]it’s a trust [que j’ai]” in the voters, he added in this podcast hosted by Matthieu Stefani, who presents himself as the one who “set out to meet those who have built themselves”.

The Head of State once again said he understood the astonishment and incomprehension caused by his decision to dissolve the National Assembly, even in his own camp, while the far right appears to be the big favorite in the election. “I know what I asked of my ministers, of my majority, of deputies who have sometimes been with me for seven years, who have changed their lives to be at my side and I thank them for that. I told them ‘ we have to go back.”he noted.

“It’s very hard. I’m aware of it and many are angry with me. But I did it because there is nothing greater and more just in a democracy than trust in the people “insisted Emmanuel Macron.

As Matthieu Stefani confides to Parisianthis interview with the president had been requested several months ago but it was Friday that everything was decided. Emmanuel Macron’s teams offered to come and question the head of state the same day, while the entrepreneur was in Corsica. He flew to the continent and recorded his podcast for two hours at the Elysée. His last three guests were the host Arthur, the director of the luxury watch brand H. Moser & Cie, Edouard Meylan, and the boss of the Les Mousquetaires group, Thierry Cotillard.
