National Day | Who to see where today

National Day celebrations continue this Monday. A short guide to the main planned gatherings.

Montreal

Big show at Maisonneuve Park, from 8 p.m.

The Montreal National Day show is titled A chance we have, a beautiful nod to Jean-Pierre Ferland, who died on April 27. Hosted by Pierre-Yves Lord and directed by Pierre Séguin, the big gathering is marked by nostalgia. Claude Dubois, Roxane Bruneau, Patsy Gallant, Queenie, Daniel Lavoie, Kanen, Éléonore Lagacé, Judi Richards, FouKi and Le Vent du Nord will participate. The traditional Saint-Jean parade will take place earlier, starting at 1:30 p.m. The departure will be at the corner of Rachel and Molson streets, then the festivities will continue at Maisonneuve Park. For those celebrating at home, the big show will be broadcast at 8:30 p.m. on ICI Télé and TVA and, on the radio, on CKOI, the five Rythme and CIME stations.
