Russia announced on Friday June 14 that it had shot down 87 Ukrainian drones during the night from Thursday to Friday, 70 of which targeted the Rostov region, in the south of the country. “Air defense systems intercepted and destroyed drones over the Belgorod region, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kursk, Rostov, as well as a drone over the Crimean peninsula” annexed by Russia in 2014, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
In the Rostov region, which houses the headquarters of the Russian operation in Ukraine, the attack “did not cause any casualties”, but caused power cuts in several localities, said the regional governor, Vassili Goloubev, on Telegram.
