Following the European elections and the dissolution of the National Assembly, the RN and left-wing political parties are preparing for the legislative elections on June 30 and July 7.

The day after the European elections, the National Rally celebrated its victory on Monday June 10 and prepared its campaign for the early legislative elections. The left is also organizing. Rebels, ecologists and socialists are trying to revive a union.

Sunday June 9, Emmanuel Macron announced the dissolution of the National Assembly. This unexpected decision was mentioned by those close to the president, such as ministers Stéphane Séjourné and Gérald Darmanin.

The Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal, was informed late Sunday afternoon. “Let it be as if nothing had happened, we would have blamed the president.”, assures François Patriat, senator of the Rally of Progressive and Independent Democrats. Traveling to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the massacres of Tulle (Corrèze) and Oradour-sur-Glane (Haute-Vienne), Monday June 10, Emmanuel Macron was attacked by a woman worried about a possible rise to power of the RN.
