“There is no inevitability, we can win”, declared Monday June 10 on France Inter François Ruffin. The LFI-Nupes deputy from the Somme was the first to launch a call on Sunday evening for a “popular Front” to block the far right after the result of the European elections. Olivier Faure (PS), Fabien Roussel (PCF) and Marie Tondelier (EELV) responded favorably to this call.
“We have no response from Manuel Bompard. Now, let things be clear, the rebels are welcome in this popular front. We are not going to draw lines in a sectarian way”explains François Ruffin.
“It is not a question of displaying our resentments, we must throw them into the river. We are not here to return eternally to the past. We are here to look towards the future. We thought that we were going to have three years to give the country a way out, to offer it an outlet and finally, we have three weeks Well, let’s make this emergency a chance.he continued.
The MP made a historical reminder: “The crisis of 1929 led to Nazism in Germany, but it led to the Popular Front”, he explains. He assures that the left can come together: “There is a certain amount of evidence today that is shared on the left. Now the question is: do we want to come together? Do we want to win together or is it What do we want to lose?”, he asked. François Ruffin “prefer to win together than lose divided”he said.
François Ruffin insisted on “a serious situation that the entire left feels”. He rejects “the little questions of ‘popol’, of tamboille, the calculations and the things, for me it’s outside!” He called Marine Tondelier, Olivier Faure, Fabien Roussel and he “hope” Manuel Bompard to meet quickly to “that we propel ourselves to restore energy, desire, joy, hope and tell ourselves that, in the end, we can win”.
The deputy of La France Insoumise charged Emmanuel Macron, “a President of the Republic who is struck by hubris, to total excess”. “With a huge melon, he plays our country at… Russian roulette”, he said. Word “Russian” was suggested to him by Olivier Faure, also present in the France Inter studio. “Yes, Russian roulette. Except this time, here, there are five bullets in the barrel. OK? We’re here to prevent things from blowing up.”he explained.
