A 58-year-old man was seriously injured Sunday afternoon during a police chase in Saint-Roch-Ouest, in Lanaudière.

The driver would have gone off the road during this pursuit initiated with the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), said the Bureau of Independent Investigations (BEI) on his Twitter account.
“We would fear for his life,” he said in the publication.
An independent investigation was launched by the BEI into this event.
