And we now have a large number of arrests”, said Gérald Darmanin, Minister of the Interior, this Thursday on franceinfo. “Not all elected officials file a complaint. The Minister of the Interior hopes “means” from “justice to be able to condemn these people fairly quickly”. Corn “I know that the Keeper of the Seals [Eric Dupond-Moretti] is very attentive to it”, he points out.
“We have around the President of the National Assembly, Richard Ferrand, a very strong mobilization and whatever the political sides, whatever the quality of the elected, whether parliamentarian, mayor or municipal councilor. He is unacceptable that in a democracy we can send death threats or burn garages”, he explained.
Gérald Darmanin says he fears “physical attacks”. Corn “fortunately, today, these threats are now only digital or paper. But of course, we fear physical attacks and that’s why we put considerable resources into it”, he said.
