4/4 for Basque clubs in the fourth round

It is faultless for the football clubs of the Basque Country. The four in the running for this fourth round of the Coupe de France (September 24 and 25) qualified this weekend for the rest of the competition. Rather logical in view of the opponents, Aviron Bayonnais, Genets d’Anglet, Crusaders from Bayonne and Hasparren move on to the next stage. Check out the results:

  • Genets of Anglet (N3) 0-0 (TAB 8-7) Stade Montois (N3)
  • Castetis (D1) 0-4 Rowing Bayonne (N3)
  • Lamothe-Mongauzy (D2)0-7 Bayonne Crusaders (R1)
  • Saint-Symphorien (D2) 0-3 Hasparren (R3)

The Angloys manage to bring out their pet peeve, since Stade Montois had eliminated the yellow and green three times recently (2006, 2012, 2015). The Crusaders reach the 5th round, a first since 2013. Same thing for the players of the city of oaks, the last time was in 2018.

the 5th round will be played on the weekend of October 9 and 10with the entry into the running of the National teams.
