350 jobs to be filled at the Made in 36 fair in Châteauroux

At the digital city of Châteauroux, companies from the Indre department have set up for the Made in 36 Fair. Open on Friday June 10 and Saturday June 11, its purpose is to highlight the know-how of companies and industries of the department. But it also allows them, and above all, to highlight their job offers. And there are many of them: 350 jobs are to be filled there, for 60 companies present.

A recruiting crisis

And for Azaé, a home help company, this type of fair is a real necessity right now. At Azaé Châteauroux, five CDD positions are to be filled, as well as four CDI. But Corinne Mercier, the recruitment manager, is having a lot of trouble finding candidates. You have fewer and fewer qualified staff, she laments. The job seekers who come to see us are sometimes very good. But most of the time, unfortunately, they abandon us the day before for the next day, when the contract is signed. So, at the moment, we have a lot of needs… and we can’t recruit at all.”

“If we can help 1,000 to 12,000 people find a job, that would be wonderful!”

An observation shared by many of his friends, which therefore prompted the metropolis of Châteauroux to organize this show. “The majority of the offers that are offered are permanent contracts, so these are permanent jobs, explains Lucile Vigneron, in charge of the employment attractiveness relationship in the metropolis. We hope, over these two days, to have 1000 to 1200 people. So, if we can actually help 1,000 to 1,200 people find a job, that would be wonderful!”

And as summer approaches, this fair is also open to students looking for a summer job, to try to make up for the shortage of seasonal workers.
