33 deputies targeted by threats and degradations since March 19

Thirty-three deputies of the majority and of the Les Républicains party have been targeted since Sunday March 19 by degradations of their offices and threats mainly on social networks, a figure twice as high as last Wednesday, according to information from franceinfo obtained from the presidency of the National Assembly on Monday.

While the protest against the pension reform has continued strongly since the activation of article 49.3 on the reform, all the deputies targeted by these threats and these degradations come from the presidential majority or from the Les Républicains party, specifies the presidency. of the National Assembly, which had counted on Wednesday March 22 17 deputies targeted.

This is a significant acceleration in offenses against deputies, because since the start of the current term of office since June 2022, 76 deputies have been victims of threats or damage.
