3,000 police and gendarmes will be mobilized this Saturday for the final of the French Football Cup between Nantes and Toulouse, franceinfo learned from the entourage of the Minister of the Interior. This is 1,000 members of the police force more than during the last Champions League final, between Real Madrid and Liverpool, organized at the Stade de France and during which incidents had broken out. There will also be 1,409 stewards.

The decision was taken this Wednesday during a meeting at the Ministry of the Interior which brought together the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, the Paris police prefect, the director general of the national gendarmerie, the director general of the national police and four ministerial advisers. At that meeting, attendees estimated the number of supporters for each team at 20,000, with 250 to 300 ultras from each team expected on Saturday.

The match is classified with a level of 4 out of 5 by the National Division for the Fight against Hooliganism (DNLH), learned franceinfo from the entourage of Gérald Darmanin. This match worries the authorities who also fear overflows in Paris with a possible reinforcement of Parisian supporters with Toulouse against Nantes.
