29th murder in Montreal: a man stabbed at Guy-Concordia station

A thirty-year-old was stabbed during the night from Saturday to Sunday in the Ville-Marie district of Montreal.

The Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) had to intervene around 11:30 p.m. on the metro platform of Guy-Concordia station which is on the green line in the direction of Honoré-Beaugrand, confirms spokesperson Jean- Pierre Brabant.

An altercation between two men took place and a 37-year-old man was attacked with a sharp object. He suffered upper body injuries.

His death was pronounced in hospital.

The Guy-Concordia station was reopened for users around 7:30 a.m.

Green line metros can now make stops.

Major crimes officers from the SPVM were called to the scene to analyze the scene in order to understand the circumstances of the event.
