Fans rushed to Saint-Saud-Lacoussière this Monday, October 10. We didn’t expect so many, but they are all the same 275 kilos of porcini mushrooms which have been registered on the market, the first in the Dordogne of the season.
10 to 20 euros per kilo
The twenty contributors, from Dordogne but also from Haute-Vienne, have sold the crates with a price between 10 and 20 euros per kilo. But the growth is still shy, and ceps lovers hope to see more rain.
Last year, the first markets had opened earlier in the yeararound the end of September.
